This is a great way to use your smart tv by LG after your remote has been lost or stolen! This APP has my TV鈥檚 synchronizing capability to use as a stock remote after mine was lost or stolen! I can change channels, volume, and other attributes! I can watch my tv finally threw my i6s. All I had to do is read and listen to this APP after downloading to get the ability to use my smart T.V. I find this APP very convenient and helpful to use with walk threw steps and help to synchronize your smartphone to your TV as a remote after misplaced or stolen! I give 馃憣馃憤馃憦 % with this app and the way it works with your APPLE iPhones or smartphones to use as a remote!
Have to directly connect to network???
I might be missing something, but this app is a waste. In my case, the blu-ray player has to be on the same network as the app on the phone. Who dedicates an independent hardwired connection directly to the network for a legacy blu-ray player? That鈥檚 absurd. I鈥檓 not going to worry with that, going backwards 10 years just so I can then access it from my phone. I imagine doing what people really want from an app like this and the millions of pointless duplicates is hindered by protocols or something, but there鈥檚 got to be a better way. I want to connect it with HDMI and then be able to control the device from my phone and access it like any other components (sound bar, TV, AppleTV, cable, Roku). Is that not possible? Maybe not considering the concept of a truly universal smart phone remote app, though desperately wanted, seems to be unattainable though people keep downloading things like this which infer they do something similar in a technologically relevant way. They do not.
Best lg remote app out there
This is hands down the best one I鈥檝e used. When my daughter lost our remote I tried about 6 other apps and had to delete them right away. They would go to a commercial as soon as you would press one button and that was just crazy and you couldn鈥檛 use it but this app even lets you pick the remote that you had previously and it has all the exact same buttons. Perfect. Does have ads but you can click out of them.
