We’re Barking Mad Dog Rescue. We’re a UK registered charity () working to improve the lives of abandoned dogs in Romania.
We have a hands-on team in Romania at our shelters in Constanta and Calarasi, where we care for around dogs and puppies, many of whom have been rescued from unimaginable abuse and neglect.
We also provide food, vet care and support to two other shelters in Romania.
In total, we feed more than dogs every single day.
We aim to rehome as many of the saved dogs as we can.
In the UK, we have a team of volunteer adoption specialists working with potential adopters and foster carers across the country. Although we aim to rehome as many of the saved dogs as we can, some unfortunately will never be suitable to make that journey. These dogs are available for sponsor here.
If you think you can offer a home to one of our dogs please read the information here, or if you’re interested in fundraising or getting involved with Barking Mad Dog Rescue in any way at all, then contact us.

Looking for puppies? Fortunately, the spay/neuter efforts in New England and beyond have been well accepted. However, that does mean that there are fewer and fewer young pups in the shelter environment. It isn’t often that we have puppies. If you are interested in adopting a puppy specifically, we recommend that you continue to check our site frequently. All available puppies will be posted below if and when we have them.
We want to ensure that all potential adopters are provided with care information so you can give your new pet a happy, healthy and safe home. For more information about dog care, go to our Pet Resources page.
All dogs adopted from ARLNH have:
Been tested for heartworm disease
Received kennel cough, distemper and rabies vaccines
Been spayed or neutered and microchipped
Started on monthly heartworm prevention and flea and tick prevention
Received dewormings as needed
We encourage you to browse our adoptable dogs below and to call the shelter at () ext. to speak with a knowledgeable Adoption Counselor.

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS HAS CHANGED
Our adoption procedures have now changed, we are aiming to provide potential adopters with a better experience and a less stressful adoption for our dogs.
All dogs available for adoption are now available to view on the website, please read through their information carefully and if you think you would be able to meet their needs, get in touch with the home directly.
Sadly, the majority of the dogs in our care have at some point been strays, and for whatever reason, have not been claimed by their owners. Due to this, we may not know the full background of the dog you are interested in, but we will of course tell you as much as we can.
To adopt a dog from either Manchester or Cheshire Dogs Home, you will need to pass a home visit and have AT LEAST one successful meet and greet, although most will require more trips.
Everyone who lives in your home will need to visit the dog, as well as any very regular visitors.
To adopt one of the dogs we will need to see proof of ID as well as proof of address and that you can have a dog in the property, ie tenancy agreement, proof of ownership etc.
Our adoption fee includes –
A full health check
Provided that this is medically viable relating to age and health and that the home has the facilities to carry out the procedure safely for the specific dogs’ requirements. Alternatives will be discussed if required.

Mary's Dogs - Rescue & Adoption
Through cooperation with our close-knit rescue partners in the south, Mary's Dogs Rescue & Adoption staff, volunteers, Board members, and adoptive families in New England effect a three-fold mission:
1. We actively support the efforts of our rescue partners who work to reduce the number of homeless dogs by rescuing dogs off the streets and from shelters, and who raise awareness of canine health issues, and spay and neuter programs.
2. We find forever homes for dogs when they arrive at our New Hampshire facility and receive all necessary health certificates.
3. We ensure excellent supportive and medical care of rescued dogs throughout the adoption process and follow up with families after dogs are placed in their homes. Through every step of the rescue and adoption, connections are made between people, cultures, and dogs. Our community is extremely grateful for the supportive network that embraces us.
Thank you to our partners in the south, our team, and all our adoptive families for beingâ the Hero in a dog’s life.
Why adopt a Mary's Dog? â All dogs deserve a chance to find a loving and caring home. Many are abandoned or neglected or never given the chance of a good life. As soon as our dogs are in the care of our southern partners, they are treated as family members while awaiting transport to New Hampshire. Our professional team begins caring for the dogs as soon as they arrive at our state-licensed facility to ensure the dogs successfully transition into forever homes. We provide specialty collars and leashes, yummy treats, toys and even homemade chicken stew.â âThe dogs are examined by our veterinarian and then microchipped.
Once they are granted a NH Health Certificate and observed by our dog savvy rescue team, they are ready to be loved by you! We know our dogs. It’s important you find the right dog for you and your family. We want all our adoptions to be successful and are available to answer your questions before and after you’ve brought your dog home. Please keep in touch! Join our growing community of dog parents and best friends. Come to one of our events, âlearn about dogs, buy a dog a gift ,â â— âshare photos!â
We love every dog we rescue. Good dogs make best friends. Will you be the Hero in a Mary’s Dog’s life?

I myself am meter eighty, I am 34 years old. Dense, without excess weight due to constant visits to the gym and the pool, I have good physical characteristics. Well, and, accordingly, he selected the same strong and hardy for his brigade. The work is dangerous and at a certain moment requires physical training, and even nerves of steel somewhere.
Judging by the voice when Sanych called me over the speakerphone, today he was not in the mood.
