Last week in Las Vegas, we set up shop at the Consumer Electronics Show, the world’s largest electronics and technology trade show. Out of the thousands (!) of new products we saw, these were the 10 coolest, most gawk-worthy gadgets. Prepare to have your mind blown—and maybe your life changed, too. (Note: Most, but not all, of this gear is scheduled for release in 2015.)

This speaker’s orb-like structure allows it to produce omnidirectional sound so you can place it anywhere in the room. It also connects to your phone, tablet, computer, TV, and other Phantom speakers via Wi-Fi. But the Phantom’s best feature is almost certainly its amazing sound: It uses a special microprocessor that hybridizes digital and analog technology, which translates to impressively loud sound (105 decibels) with zero distortion. Expect it to start shipping in February at $1,990.

Parrot Zik Sport
There are fitness headphones, there are heart-rate monitors, there are fitness trackers—and then there’s the Parrot Zik Sport, which combines all three. The Zik Sport is still purely conceptual. But it’s a wireless, Bluetooth, noise-cancelling fitness headset that tracks your heart rate, basic fitness stats (steps, calories, etc.), and advanced fitness metrics such as cadence, vertical oscillation, and how much pressure you put on each foot as you’re running.

Sony Bravia X900C
We’ve seen the future of TVs, and it looks a whole lot like the Sony Bravia X900C. At just 4.9 millimeters thick—2 millimeters thinner than an iPhone 6—it’s a 4K Ultra HDTV with an edge-to-edge screen that’s designed so your picture looks like it’s “floating” on your wall. All of Sony’s new TVs come with Android TV, which means you’ll be able to stream Netflix, Hulu, and Android games without buying a separate set-top box or Chromecast dongle. The Bravia X900C series will launch this spring in 55-, 65-, and 75-inch flavors. No word on pricing yet.

Mercedes F 015 Luxury in Motion Concept
Mercedes’ futuristically-styled, self-driving concept car does one thing other autonomous vehicles don’t: It lets the driver turn his back to the road. The F 015 has modern-looking swivel chairs inside, because why should you look at the road when your car is technically driving for you? (Note: This hasn’t passed any safety regulations yet, obviously.) The car also lights up the grille when it’s in autonomous mode, and projects words to drivers behind you, like “Stop” and “Slow Down,” if they’re being a-holes. Because this is a concept car, we won’t see it on the road any time soon—if ever—but it does raise a very important question: How much driving do you really need to do if your car is already doing the job?

Harman Individual Sound Zones
Unlike most of the gear on this list, Harman’s Individual Sound Zones (ISZ) isn’t a product. Rather, it’s a tech concept that uses directional speakers and digital signal processing to give each rider in a car an individual “sound zone.” With these sound zones in place, each passenger can listen to his own audio (music, sports, a Bluetooth phone call, or even turn-by-turn directions) without headphones. It works very well—there’s still a little overlap in the zones, but not enough to detract from what you’re listening to. Harman is currently working with automakers to implement its Individual Sound Zones in cars, so we could start seeing ISZ in cars as soon as this year.

Have you ever looked at your GoPro footage and thought, “Damn, I wish I could turn this thing around and see that killer wave behind me?” Well, with 360fly you can: This new sportscam has an ultra-wide-angle lens that captures 360 degrees of horizontal video and 240 degrees of vertical video at the same time. That means when you re-watch your video, you can actually turn the camera around in a full circle and see what’s going on in every direction. The 360fly is waterproof, gets about 3 hours of battery life, and will ship this spring for $499.

LG Twin Wash
It’s not often that we see mass-appeal laundry tech, but LG’s Twin Wash system is pretty awesome: It lets you wash two loads (one regular load and one mini-load, like underwear or delicates) at the same time. You can also use the mini-load washer alone—it’s the perfect size for your sweaty workout clothes, and you won’t have to feel bad about wasting water. Pricing is still TBD, but the mini-load washer will be compatible with certain existing LG washers, so you may not have to buy a whole new machine.

Razer Forge TV
Gaming peripherals company Razer is jumping on the Android TV bandwagon in a cool way— with a set-top box that lets you stream your PC games on your big screen (as well as Android games and video). Forge TV features a micro-console, classic game controllers, and a foldable lap keyboard-mousepad-combo for all your gaming needs. This is the only product we’ve seen that lets you stream all PC games no matter your setup, and it’s a great alternative to pricey consoles. Forge TV will start at $100 for just the box, and is set to start shipping early this year.

Muzik Smart Drumsticks
Here’s every drummer’s dream (and every neighbor’s nightmare). These drumsticks let you play the drums without, well, drums: Just tap in the air, and the sticks, which are connected to an app, automatically know where each drum is. There’s some setup, of course; the app lets you configure your virtual drum kit, and will eventually let you pick different drum types and styles—but once it’s set up you can play your kit wherever you are (the sticks come with foot-pedal straps as well). Muzik plans to start shipping the sticks by the end of the year at an affordable price point.
