UPDATE: All lanes have reopened on I Northbound near Appleton

APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV)- On Monday, September 20, all Northbound lanes on the I have reopened to traffic.

The right lanes were temporarily closed due to a crash, placed near Wisconsin Avenue near the City of Appleton.

No additional information has been released about the crash like a cause or the number of individuals involved in the incident.

MONDAY, 09/20/ p.m.

APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV)- The WisDOT Traffic Management Center announced on Monday, September 20, that two lanes on the I heading Northbound are temporarily closed.

The reason for the closure is due to a crash in Outagamie County.

The report places the crash near Wisconsin Avenue, near Appleton, that is estimated to have occurred around p.m. The cause of the crash is currently unknown.

Outagamie County Sheriff&#;s Office is the Department handling the crash. They believe the incident will last for about two hours.

Crash involving semi-truck closes Hwy 41 north of the "Y"

UPDATE (2 p.m.) - Caltrans reports that all lanes of Highway 41 are now open in both directions.

UPDATE ( a.m.) - Highway 41 is closed in both directions four miles north of Hwy. 46 East in San Luis Obispo County.

Travelers are being detoured between State Route 33 and Hwy. 46 East.

The roadway should be clear by am.


( a.m.) - A crash has closed all lanes of Hwy 41 in Cholame north of the "Y" intersection.

The collision was reported at about a.m. Reports say that a black Honda Accord and a semi-truck were involved.

During the crash, the semi-truck crossed over into a ravine on the northbound side and landed on its side.

Initial reports labeled the collision a two-vehicle crash.

CAL FIRE SLO says that two people were injured in the crash. One suffered minor injuries, and one suffered moderate injuries.

CHP reports that the closure is in place to remove the semi-truck from the embankment. Officials have not yet said when the highway is expected to reopen.

Highway 41 closed due to three-vehicle accident

–Caltrans District 5 issued a &#;Sig Alert&#; this morning warning of a closed highway in San Luis Obispo County.

&#;Due to a three-vehicle incident, Highway 41 is closed in both directions, four miles north of Highway 46 East,&#; the alert said.

Travelers are being detoured around this incident between Highway 33 and Highway 46 East.

Estimated Time of Opening: The highway is expected to re-open by am.

UPDATE: Local police officer, deputy performed CPR & resuscitated driver involved in I crash

WEDNESDAY 10/6/ p.m.

GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WFRV) &#; Two local law enforcement officers were able to resuscitate a semi-truck driver after a crash that closed I northbound in Outagamie County for four hours.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, there was a crash between a semi and an SUV in the northbound lanes of I in Grand Chute. Authorities believe that the driver of the semi suffered a medical condition.

A grand Chute Police Officer and an off-duty Outagamie County Sheriff&#;s Deputy performed CPR on the driver and were able to resuscitate him.

The driver was then taken to a hospital and was last reported alive. The driver of the SUV had non-life-threatening injuries.

The semi was hauling two trailers and ended up in the median.

According to authorities, the incident was cleared around a.m. The incident happened around a.m. just north of Gillette Street in Outagamie County.

There was no information on the cause of the accident or if there were any injuries.

According to officials, the incident happened around a.m. just north of Gillette Street. There was no information on the cause of the accident.

The closure is expected to last two hours. The alternate route is to use WIS north to avoid delays.
